Digital Cultures Festival

My Role: Founder / Director / Lead Curator

Warsaw (IAM 2017-2020, Monster Mind Studio 2024), 09/2024

I initiated, founded, and served as the Lead Curator and Programme Manager for the Digital Cultures Festival while at the Adam Mickiewicz Institute (IAM) from 2017 to 2020. The festival quickly became a flagship initiative and a key international platform for showcasing Polish and global digital art, fostering networking, and facilitating knowledge exchange within the new media community.

Key elements included:

  • DC Talks: Inspiring presentations and panel discussions with leading international artists, researchers, and technologists.
  • DC Experiences: A curated showcase of cutting-edge VR, AR, and interactive projects, often featuring a “Best of Poland” section.
  • DC Skills: Practical workshops focused on developing skills relevant to the digital creative industries.

In 2024, I revived the festival as an independent initiative under my Monster Mind Studio, securing funding and partners. Themed “Seamless Technologies,” the 5th edition successfully brought the community together again at Mindspace Koszyki, confirming the continued need for such a platform in Warsaw. My role involved comprehensive responsibility for the concept, programming, budget, fundraising, partnerships, and overall execution.
