Gymnasia VR

My Role: Production Coordinator (IAM side)

International Co-production (PL-CA), 04/2019

While at the Adam Mickiewicz Institute (IAM), I coordinated the Institute’s involvement in the production of the groundbreaking stop-motion VR experience “Gymnasia” (2019).

This was a prestigious international co-production between IAM (Poland), the acclaimed Felix & Paul Studios (Canada), Clyde Henry Productions (Canada), and the PHI Centre (Canada).

“Gymnasia” transports viewers into a dreamlike, abandoned school gymnasium, blending puppetry, miniatures, and immersive cinematography. My role involved managing IAM’s contribution to the project, facilitating communication between the Polish and Canadian partners, and overseeing contractual and logistical aspects from the Institute’s side.

The project premiered to critical acclaim at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2019 and was subsequently recognized by Forbes as one of the most compelling and innovative VR experiences of that year, highlighting the potential of international collaboration in pushing the boundaries of immersive storytelling.
