Nothing is Ever Really Lost | Our Role: Artistic direction
“Nothing is Ever Really Lost” is a generative documentary directed by Anna Szylar, founder of the studio and produced by Pola Komarowa. The project examines how new technologies are redefining the contemporary experience of grief and memory. In an era where artificial intelligence is entering the most intimate spheres of human experience, allowing for the creation of digital personas of our loved ones, the project asks fundamental questions about the nature of (im)mortality in contemporary culture.
As part of the production, we are developing a Small Language Model (SLM) trained on private archives to create a digital simulation of a deceased person’s consciousness. This technology, combined with augmented reality (AR) and generative video, becomes a tool for entering into a dialogue with the past. We are also establishing strategic collaborations with anthropologists and philosophers to provide the project with a deep ethical context.
Thus, “Nothing is Ever Really Lost” becomes a case study at the intersection of art, ethics, and technology, opening up a space for critical discussion about the future of our social relationships.
